This stunning Rosedale landscape design is a Landscape Ontario Provincial Award of Excellence Winner.

Jennifer Hayman Design Group began working with the homeowner to clear an unusable backyard full of rock and debris, reworking the existing topography that had been poorly landscaped previously.

To meet the multi-functional needs of the homeowner’s young family, JHDG’s designer conceived multiple outdoor living areas to create a true outdoor extension of their home.

There is a lawn are for their children to play, and a full outdoor kitchen, complete with wine bar, sink, and large grill. To complement this, JHDG’s designer enclosed the dining area with raised planters evocative of the Cotswolds region in England – a choice specifically made to celebrate the homeowner’s English heritage. The stone terraces were surfaced with limestone imported from Indiana and the walled garden stone was sourced from Manitoulin Island and installed by a masonry team.

An additional seating area was set around an ethanol-burning fireplace, making use of an existing garage, and creating a second entertaining hub.
